A FEW WORDS FROM THE CREATIVE TEAM OF TERESA VS. PRISCILLA

Every piece we create comes together as the result of talented artists who are also passionate fans. With the preorder for Claymore just around the corner, we wanted to share a few words from three members of the creative team who are also signing the certificate of authenticity for Teresa vs. Priscilla: Mr. Shanab (CEO), Daniel Kamarudin (concept artist), and Carlos Cruz (3D artist).

“The Claymore project is different from any other statue out there due to the complexity of the art style. There is a lot of gore in the manga that contrasts with the beauty of the female characters. When you add the sharpness of swords and metal pieces, everything looks harmonious and elegant. I put a lot of attention into little aspects of the statue, such as the rocks. They have this coral reef texturing that gives an organic life to the scene. We are very proud of the outcome and very pleased with the reaction of the audience.” ~ Carlos Cruz

 

“The nature of the Claymore IP and how it was designed makes it a standout among the previous Figurama pieces. I focused on verticality and keeping the overall piece more streamlined to convey the elegance and swift brutality of Claymore. It was fun being involved in this and having a hand in creating the first polystone piece ever for an IP that initially inspired me in my early days as an artist.” ~ Daniel Kamarudin

 

“Teresa vs. Priscilla is a first for Figurama Collectors. It’s the first Figurama Collectors statue showcasing two female characters in battle. It’s the first Figurama Collectors statue directly inspired by a scene from the manga instead of the anime adaptation. It is also the first licensed polystone statue ever created for Claymore, and we are honored to be bringing it to life. It is a masterpiece filled with layers of detail and coloring that must be seen in-person to truly be believed. We are tremendously honored to be entrusted with this license and proud of the creative team that has brought this masterpiece to life.” ~ Mr. Shanab
