To say that Dororo & Hyakkimaru Elite Fandom Statue has been one of our most anticipated statues would be an understatement. Since the original license announcement in August 2019, we’ve received hundreds of posts in the Figurama Collectors Hub, asking for a sneak-peek, a preview—anything! We sensed from the beginning that this piece was special in a truly unique way, not only because of your overwhelming response and interest, but also because it represented a story over 50 years old, penned by the legendary mangaka, Osamu Tezuka.

Creating a tribute to the incredible remake of this story drew upon all our experience. Our goal was to fully immerse the collector in the scene. That meant engineering the piece in a way that fully encapsulated the story—for example, forming Hyakkimaru’s prosthetic arms so that they slid off the diecast metal blades, just like in the anime.

A famous quotation from the anime says that we protect what we obtain with our own hands. We are so honored to be producing the world’s first resin statue inspired by Dororo, and we hope that when it arrives in your hands, you will cherish it as much as we have every step of the production process.
